Rick Westerdale is Vice President at Connector Inc., where he leads the firm’s Energy Practice. With more than 30 years of experience in the global energy industry and government, Rick advises clients on strategy, investment, and policy across hydrocarbons, LNG, hydrogen, nuclear, and the broader energy transition.

In addition to his role at Connector, Rick is the founder of Westerdale Holdings, LLC, serves as a Partner and Executive Board Member at Energy International Corporation (EIC), and sits on the Board of Directors of GlobalX, a data-driven energy and nuclear technology firm. His prior leadership roles include COO of Vitus Energy, Executive Director at the Energy Futures Initiative, and Director of the U.S. State Department’s Energy Resources Bureau, following a long career with ExxonMobil.



Rick is a licensed Professional Engineer, U.S. Army veteran, and holds engineering and business degrees with executive training from UNC Kenan-Flagler and Thunderbird.
